How to download the app

The Family Portal is a web app — there is nothing to download from an app store. Parents install it straight from their phone's browser, and the Bluebonnet icon appears on the home screen like a normal app.

iPhone / iPad — Safari

Use Safari — installation on iPhone/iPad only works from Safari.

Open Safari on the phone.
Go to bluebonnet.family and sign in.
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen .
Tap Add in the top-right corner.
Find the Bluebonnet icon on the home screen and open it.

iPhone / iPad — Chrome or another browser

iPhone installs only work in Safari. If the parent is in Chrome, Firefox or Edge, they need to switch.

Open Safari (the compass icon on the home screen).
Go to bluebonnet.family and sign in.
Follow the Safari steps above — Share → Add to Home Screen .

Android — Chrome

The official way — Chrome offers a one-tap install.

Open Chrome on the phone.
Go to bluebonnet.family and sign in.
Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots, top-right corner).
Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
Tap Install — the Bluebonnet icon appears on the home screen.

Android — Samsung Internet, Firefox & others

Every Android browser can add the site to the home screen.

Open the phone's browser (Samsung Internet, Firefox, etc.).
Go to bluebonnet.family and sign in.
Tap the browser menu button — ⋮ or ☰ (top-right corner).
Tap Add to Home screen (Samsung Internet: Add page to → Home screen).
Confirm — the Bluebonnet icon appears on the home screen.

Computer — Chrome or Edge

Also installable on a desktop or laptop.

Open Chrome or Edge.
Go to bluebonnet.family and sign in.
Click the install icon in the address bar, then Install.
